The Baer Law Firm Retained to Investigate Hospital Negligence in Failing to Recognize and Treat Patients Actively Stroking

The Baer Law Firm has been retained to investigate two very similar cases of potential hospital negligence at two separate hospitals in Georgia. Both cases involve males in their early 50s. Family members of both rushed their loved ones to the hospital immediately upon signs of a stroke. In both cases, the hospitals appeared to have timely recognized and promptly treated their patients. Both men were taken to the ICU. After initial treatment, both men appeared to be doing better and were transferred to the main hospital floor. It is what happened next that is alarming.

After suffering an initial stroke, a patient is at increased risk of a second stroke, which often causes substantially more harm. Thus, hospital staff should closely monitor a stroke patient after discharge from the ICU to the main floor. However, in both cases, family members state that days went by while hospital personnel did little to nothing while their loved ones were actively suffering stroke symptoms. Unfortunately, by the time they were treated, it was too late. Both suffered massive brain injuries and now need 24/7 care. The wives of both men had to move their nuclear families to be closer to extended family members who could help care for their husbands.

The Baer Law Firm is honored to be asked to investigate these cases and, at a minimum, provide much-needed answers as to what happened. If hospital negligence is to blame and a lawsuit is warranted, The Baer Law Firm looks forward to helping both wives obtain deserved and much-needed recoveries to care for their husbands.
